Description: Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plans (MPI) is seeking a Visitor Center Representative to join our team. The Visitor Center Representative provides virtual and in-person customer service to active and retired participants and their families regarding their MPI Pension and IAP benefits, as well as any affiliated local benefits. Visitor Center Representatives must maintain an in-depth knowledge of pension benefit processing, pension regulations, as well as MPI’s Trust Fund rules and organizational policies, and have the ability to communicate complex plan policies and benefits in easy-to-understand terms while providing exceptional customer service. Please note this position works onsite in our office in Studio City, CA. Qualified candidates only, please submit letter of interest with resume for consideration. Responsibilities:
• Handle incoming participant calls, emails, web requests, walk ins, and virtual meetings in a professional and courteous manner, covering topics related to health and pension benefits, legal documentation, account numbers, addresses, beneficiary designation, and witnessing services on various MPI forms and documents.
 • Demonstrate understanding of MPI policies, processes, and plan knowledge to assist participants with inquiries.
 • Provide exceptional customer service with the ability to answer health and pension questions, assist with counseling on complex and/or sensitive cases, and resolve issues with empathy and care clearly and accurately.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of participant interactions allowing for successful resolution of issues, tracking of performance, and follow-up by other departments as necessary.
• Assist with appointment screening and scheduling activities including performing screening callouts to participants who have made online appointments.
• Support retirement coordinators and/or retirement benefit analysts through:
 o Performing pension verifications;
o Corresponding with participants to request forms and documents; Distributing Pension and IAP applications and packets to participants;
o Assigning applications/forms/documents to Retirement Benefit Analysts for review/approval; and
o Monitoring/tracking incoming forms/documents for Pension and IAP refund applications, Retirement Benefits mailboxes, Unity tickets, email, and Laserfiche requests.
• Other duties or projects as assigned.

Qualifications: • 1-2 years’ equivalent experience in a customer service setting; prior healthcare, retirement benefits, and/or trust fund experience preferred.
• Quick learner with the ability to retain and communicate learned concepts.
• Strong ability to answer complicated questions, assist with resolving issues, and escalate issues as necessary in an accurate and effective manner.
• Strong customer service skills and a dedicated desire to help with empathy, care and compassion. • Prioritization skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, multifaceted environment.
• Intermediate proficiency and experience with MS Office- Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Word.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Professional phone and in-person etiquette and demeanor.
• Excellent attendance, punctuality, and reliability, including the ability to work extended hours/overtime as needed.
• Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to accept direction and developmental guidance from supervisors to support professional development and growth.
